I believe that meat is murder. I also believe that fish is rape, bread is assault, and veggies are grand theft auto.

A few days ago something terrible happened...
Holy shit that's tragic :(
My smoothie maker kicked the bucket (and took others down with it... meaning my super amazing smoothie!)
But lucky for me I was able to get to Bed Bath and Beyond on sunday and get and awesome (and really inexpensive!) smoothie maker...
And I was able to have this for breakfast this morning!
This glorious smoothie was composed of a banana, 1 container of chobani greek yogurt, frozen strawberries, almond milk, and a scoop of vanilla Biochem Vegan Protein.
I woke up fairly early (and had breakfast pretty early) so I had a mid-morning munch:
Whole wheat veggie pizza. Try to not be too jealous.
I also had a Wellbeing be-HOT Exercise Enhancing Turbopak
My workout was 1 hour of step aerobics, 1 hour of definitions (weight training), and 2 miles on the treadmill at 5.1 mph.
Serious business.

Lunch:
Grilled chicken on a slice of whole wheat bread with tomato slices, lettuce and guacamole. I also had a slice of grilled potato.

Snack:
Green apple with peanut butter (peanut butter not pictured)

Dinner

Grilled chicken salad stuff!
I had some of this as a side:

It's some kind of cheesey pasta dish my mom made. I had about three bites and kinda wasn't into it. Oh well.

I also had two calcium chews because apparently I'm not getting nearly enough calcium.

So this morning I woke up and was all "holy shit dude, I'm going to be in college forever!". There is no punchline there whatsoever.

So woah, it's been a while.
I have to say that while I've been slacking as far as blogging is concerned, I've been doing just the same (if not even better) in terms of food and working out.

Breakfast was some leftover dinner from last night:
Whole wheat pasta with sun dried tomato sauce, roasted mushrooms, zucchini, eggplant, red and yellow peppers, asparagus, brussels sprouts and shrimp.

My workout for today was 45 minutes of Spinning (cycling class), and a 20 minute run on the treadmill.

Post-workout snack was a banana and a little bit of almond milk.

At work I had some hummus and carrot sticks, but I forgot my camera at home.
When I got home I had some more almond milk (that stuff is amazing)
Dinner:
Salad and tuna fish!

Dessert
Awesome peanut butter chocolate cookie my mom and sister made.

And then I did homework FOREVERR

I saw that PETA is protesting groundhog day because it's harmful to groundhogs, but come on... PETA is harmful to everyone.

So, woah at the snow!
I woke up this morning and saw this:
I think we've got about 8 inches of snow now. Good stuff.

Breakfast went something like this:
I don't care what the health nuts say, Bisquick biscuits with jelly are the bees knees.

Lunch was this:
Gardenburger veggie medley burger with cheddar cheese and tomato on a piece of a whole wheat wrap
Snack:
A piece of Lauren's leftover bacon egg and cheese

Then Lauren and I went outside and played forever
We went sledding for a while, walked up the hill to my neighbors to walk their dogs...
Oh... and we built a disturbing-looking snowman because I'm an asshole?
Terribly amusing, I know.
Christ I'm such an artist...

Anyway.
When we got inside we made some pizza!

And then I did some floor workouts for about 20 minutes.

Dinner:
Chicken soup!

Friday, February 5, 2010

I just bought seven mascaras from Sephora for $18, god bless america.

I had school today and I'm exhausted so this will be quick.
Breakfast
A little different today: made with one banana, 2 teaspoons of instant coffee, one scoop of chocolate Metabolic Reset, one scoop of strawberry Metabolic Reset, a cup of ice, some skim milk and a teaspoon of almond butter.

Lunch:
I love Amy's soups so much, and they were on sale at Mrs. Green's so I went kinda nuts.

I also made this:
Gardenburger veggie medley burger on Mestemacher Fitness Bread
with a slice of cheddar, lettuce and tomato.

I have to say something about this: this bread was straight up fuckery. It was so nasty ... It was dry, spongy, stiff and tasted like... something that doesn't belong in my mouth. SUPER DISAPPOINTMENT. I wound up throwing the bread away and eating the burger, cheese, lettuce and tomato with a knife and fork. Unnecessary.

On the train home I munched on some Happy Herbert's Zany Corn
This stuff is AMAZING. It's like corn nuts, but better. And I love corn nuts. If I ever find these in barbecue flavor I will be very happy (and incredibly obese, eventually).

Dinner was a repeat of last night:
Happinessssss

Thursday, February 4, 2010

I'm getting lazy with this.

And I'm so sick of winter.

Breakfast:
egg on half of a whole wheat wrap with cheddar cheese, a slice of turkey and sliced tomato
Snack:
Kettle Cooked potato chips

I had seriously been dying for some of these and after seriously contemplating their existence in my cabinet (thanks mom), I decided to get the fuck over it and have a small bowl. Worth it.
On my way home from the Endocrinologist (sarcastic yay) I stopped at Starbucks for a strawberry banana smoothie w/green tea.
Well... there was a smoothie in there at some point.

I was planning on working out after my appointment but by the time I got home it was nearly time for work. Woe.

Then I made this to eat at work:
Gardenburger veggie medley burger on a whole wheat wrap with tomato, ketchup, mustard and lettuce
Usually I'm really skeptical about overpriced veggie/vegan burgers but this was really really good and totally worth the money, just sayin.
Dinner:
Stuffed red pepper with some pasta on the side.
Most excellent.

Late post again, sorry.

I need to say this: I don't feel too terrible about my body. I think it's pretty okay. Doing good here :)
Good news, also, my weight has been stabilizing around 144-145, as opposed to 147-149, so hooray for me!

Breakfast was a small apple, a handful of Kashi Go Lean cereal and  aWellbeing be-HOT Exercise Enhancing Turbopak. (no picture, sorry!)

I went to the gym and did 1 hour of kickboxing, a 25 minute run on the treadmill (at 5.3 mph), and 25 minutes on the cross-trainer.
I would have ran more but my shins were killing me. Actually, my entire body feels pretty sore/exhausted. But not in a "yay, I've been working out" way, more like a "maybe working out 7 hours a week isn't such an awesome idea".
Also, I love when people who barely work out (or don't work out at all) tell me that 6+ hours a week isn't that much and go "awwww why not!" when I say I'm taking a day off from working out. Like they're disappointed I haven't decided to camp out next to the treadmills.
/end rant.

Lunch:
Tomato soup with chunks of eggplant and red pepper.

Snack:

I also finished off the other half of my soup:

That looks pretty gross, actually. Not a fan of that shiny-looking stuff.
When I got home I had this:
Hummus with sea salt chips and some wheat thins

Dinner was:
Broccoli Rabe with turkey sausage, white beans and pasta

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

The sea is my only love. Please do not submerge yourself in my boyfriend.

This is going to quick because I am absolutely exhausted (7 hour school day, so awesome!).

Breakfast:
Usual smoothie made with a banana, 2 teaspoons of instant coffee, two scoops of chocolate Metabolic Reset, a cup of ice, some skim milk and a teaspoon of peanut butter

Lunch:
Some type of vegetarian chili they had at school. It was decently filling and pretty awesome. The cafeteria at Hunter has a sushi bar (!) every time I walk past it I want to barf.

By the time I got home I was absolutely starving so I made a quick bowl of pasta and tomato sauce:
My camera wouldn't focus for some reason but I was way too hungry to care about taking a non-blurry picture.

Dinner:
Pizza with broccoli and tomato!

Dessert:
Strawberry ice cream with a banana and whipped cream. Sweet.

I need to remember to bring more lunch to school, because starving is not cool, but neither is paying $6.50 for a turkey sandwich.

Monday, February 1, 2010

Oh it hurts to always have to be honest with the one that you love. Oh, so let it go.

I need to make this quick.

Breakfast:
2 eggs with cheddar cheese, a slice of turkey and black pepper on a half of a whole wheat wrap.
Followed by aWellbeing be-HOT Exercise Enhancing Turbopak

And then I went running! I jogged the entire 35 minutes I was out, which was awesome. I'm still amazed at how much more difficult it is to run outside versus on a treadmill. Also, the road I run on outside is loaded with hills. yuck. And it's cold. Later on I went to the gym and ran for 25 minutes on the treadmill at 5.5 mph, then I did 20 minutes of weight training (free weights), then I went on the cross-trainer for another 25 minutes. And now I feel like I am going to dieee.

Lunch was this!

Snack at work was this:
and this:

Dinner was this:

Dessert was a cup of sads because today was my 7 month anniversary (of dating) with Johnny. Let's just say I need to lower my expectations when it comes to this relationship. With romance and thoughtfulness, anyway.

Back to the future. heh.

I have a habit of not updating my blog when Johnny sleeps over. Soo this is yesterdays post!
Breakfast:
(smoothie made with a banana, 2 teaspoons of instant coffee, two scoops of chocolate Metabolic Reset, a cup of ice, some skim milk and a teaspoon of peanut butter) I also had aWellbeing be-HOT Exercise Enhancing Turbopak.
My workout was 1 hour of kickboxing. I seriously look forward to this class so much, and it's not just because the instructor is completely gorgeous. There is just something about kickboxing that is really satisfying.

After my shower I decided to experiment with smoothie-making. It turned out better than last time.
Ta da!
This smoothie is made of 1/4 cup Welch's Superjuice (grape, acai and blueberry), 1/4 cup acai daily cleanse, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 packet of Miracle Reds, 1 cup water and ice.

I can not express how amazing this smoothie was.It was sour and refreshing and left my teeth caked with blueberry skin and it was THE BEST.

A little later I had a Chobani yogurt:

And then I got super busy and didn't eat again till dinner:
Whole wheat pasta with tomato sauce, baked veggies and turkey sausage.

Later I ate an apple and shared some goldfish crackers with Johnny. No pictures of that sorry!
